Lahti – European Green Capital 2021
Lahti is the European Green Capital 2021 as the first Finnish city. We take bold environmental action every day and aim to be carbon neutral in 2025. As the Green Capital, we will highlight the best European environmental solutions, support Finland’s climate goals, launch ambitious cooperation projects, and ensure a smooth everyday life for the city’s residents.
OP Päijät-Häme
Päijät-Hämeen Osuuspankki is one of the largest cooperative banks in the OP Financial Group. The cities of Lahti and Heinola, as well as the municipalities of Hollola and Iitti, are part of its area of responsibility. OP’s responsibility is visible in the daily encounters with customers, as well as in participation in the sustainable development of society.
Munifin
MuniFin (Municipality Finance Plc) is one of Finland’s largest credit institutions. MuniFin’s mission is to build a better future in line with the principles of responsibility and in cooperation with its customers. MuniFin’s customers are Finnish municipalities, joint municipal authorities, municipally controlled entities and non-profit housing organisations. Lending is used for environmentally and socially responsible investment targets such as public transportation, sustainable buildings, hospitals and healthcare centres, schools and day care centres, and homes for people with special needs.

Sitra is an accountable and independent future-oriented fund that is influential nationally and internationally and acts as a think tank, promoter of experiments and operating models and a catalyst for co-operation. In being accountable to Parliament, Sitra’s future-oriented work is funded with returns on investments based on endowment capital received originally at the behest of Parliament.
