Wednesday 27 October, 2021 – Fragment/LMW compound screening and characterization

Scientists routinely employ SPR in drug discovery – from the early stages of fragment-based drug discovery and hit screening, to detailed characterization of novel lead compounds. SPR is common because of the sensitivity needed to detect low molecular weight and low affinity compounds binding to their targets.

Thursday 28 October, 2021 – What does SPR data tell you

Sensorgrams generated by optical biosensors like SPR provide rich information, and it can be a lot of data to unpack and interpret. You get quality metrics on interaction and robustness of your assay design, as well as detailed information on the binding interaction of interest, like kinetic parameters and measures of affinity.

With this information, our users get better insight on biological processes, and can select and characterize hits to guide decision making.

However, it can be time-consuming to analyze large data sets, and drawing the right conclusion might be challenging. This session will delve into what sensorgrams are telling you and how you can shorten the time to conclusive decisions.

Present a scientific poster

Want to share your research? You can present a poster at the DiPIA 2021 virtual conference in one of our breakout rooms.

Please submit the topic and description as well as the author’s name, affiliation, and email address to christina.burtsoffasp@cytiva.com by 15 September. The poster abstract must describe your original work and should not be more than 250 words.

Space is limited and posters will be accepted based on topic on a first-come, first-served basis.
